🧐The Only Record of How AI Actually Reads Your Site Is One Nobody Opens

Somewhere on your server right now is a log line showing an AI crawler requesting a page you deleted eight months ago, another showing it skipped your highest-converting product page entirely, and a third showing it hit your pricing page forty times last week.

None of this appears in any SEO tool you run, because the tools were built to track Googlebot in a search paradigm, and the crawlers deciding your AI visibility behave nothing like Googlebot.

Server logs are the only ground truth for AI crawler behavior. Every request from GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, and the rest leaves a line: which pages they requested, how often they return, what status codes they received, and what they never touched.

The gap between what you assume they crawl and what the logs show they crawl is where AI visibility problems hide, and it is routinely enormous. Pages you consider critical get ignored. Pages you forgot exist get crawled weekly. Redirect chains silently eat crawl requests that never reach the destination content.

The starter analysis takes one afternoon with log access and a filter. Pull 30 days of logs, isolate requests by AI crawler user agents, and build three views: most-crawled pages by bot, crawl frequency over time, and status code distribution.

The findings that matter most are the absences: your priority pages missing from the crawl record, and error codes served to bots on pages you believed were healthy. A 404 or a slow response served to an AI crawler is a citation opportunity that died before content quality ever entered the picture.

This is precisely the territory of the July 9 AirOps session with Jairo Guerrero, Founder of Organic Hackers, who has spent years inside server logs watching how AI crawlers actually behave, work that most SEO tools cannot see.

The session covers the first technical checks to run when pages go missing from AI answers and exactly where pages break in the crawl-to-citation pipeline. You can secure your free spot here.

Get log access this week if you do not have it. Every AI visibility conversation you have without it is a conversation about assumptions.
