💪 Eight to Ten. That's It. Doesn't Matter How Big the Account Is.

There are two camps on how many ads to launch each week. One says launch as much as possible, volume drives CAC down. The other says heavy volume resets learning and tanks performance. Tested against real account data, sized for significance, both are half right.

Same week, cramming in the most launches an account could handle was the worst outcome for CAC across the board. A moderate, steady cadence was the most efficient.

The number that kept appearing:

  • 8 to 10 launches a week, regardless of account size
  • A $10K-a-week account and a $150K-a-week account landed in the same range
  • Bigger accounts didn't launch more, they poured extra budget into proven winners instead

And the timing matters as much as the number. The payoff from a given week's launches didn't show up that week at all:

  • ROAS improved at the two-week mark in 9 of 12 accounts tested
  • Judged against tomorrow's dashboard, a launch sprint looks like nothing happened
  • Judged two weeks out, the picture is completely different

Pick a steady weekly number in the 8 to 10 range and hold it, regardless of how the account is spending that week. Resist the urge to flood it when things feel slow. Judge results on a two-week lag, not a same-week read.

🔍 Two New Studies Reveal How To Win AI Search

Two new reports show that AI visibility depends on far more than your website. They also suggest Google’s new AI controls could create unexpected trade-offs for publishers.

AI knows your brand but rarely recommends it: Victorious found AI correctly recognized 96% of brands, yet 89% never appeared in category recommendations. Instead, AI visibility was most closely tied to third-party mentions and referring domains, not just rankings or backlinks.

The buyer journey changes what AI trusts: For early-stage questions, AI mainly cited educational content, often without naming the brand. During product comparisons, it relied on directories and comparison sites, where brands were much more likely to be mentioned.

Google’s AI opt-out could reduce visibility: NewzDash found Google increasingly placing Top Stories inside AI Overviews. It believes publishers using Google’s AI opt-out may lose visibility in those carousels, although Google has not confirmed this interpretation.

Why It Matters

Success in AI search now depends on building authority beyond your own website. At the same time, publishers may soon have to balance AI opt-outs against the risk of losing valuable search visibility.

⭐ Google updated its review snippet guidelines, warning websites not to use fake or undisclosed incentivized reviews in structured data or risk losing eligibility for review-rich search results.

🛍️ A new Alchemer survey found 35.8% of shoppers plan to shop in physical stores this holiday season, surpassing online shopping, as tighter budgets make price and value the biggest purchasing priorities.

📍 ChatGPT now has access to Yelp’s real-time reviews, ratings, photos, business details, and quote requests, making local search results more accurate with branded links back to Yelp.

🛍️ Microsoft Bing is testing product prices directly on product images in search results, along with new multi-row product displays, giving shoppers pricing information before they click.
